Life at Steezy

A REAL LIFE TO PRACTICE IN.

When your dog comes to Steezy, they’re not entering a traditional daycare facility.

They’re stepping into my life.

I work from home. Dogs move through the day with me.

Sometimes we’re outside playing.

Sometimes we’re walking.

Sometimes one dog is working on something while another is resting.

Sometimes I’m upstairs working and absolutely nothing exciting is happening.

And sometimes the assignment is simply:

Go lie down. We’re chilling.

THIS IS A HOME ON PURPOSE.

Doors open.

Food gets prepared.

Packages arrive.

I move from room to room.

Another dog gets attention.

Someone goes for a walk while everyone else stays behind.

There are toys, couches, stairs, meals, workdays, visitors, quiet time and plenty of opportunities to make good—or questionable—decisions.

I don’t have to manufacture many training scenarios.

Life keeps providing them.

DOGS LEARN WHEN IT’S TIME TO DO SOMETHING.

AND WHEN IT’S TIME TO DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

Play. Explore. Walk. Learn.

Then settle. Decompress. Take a nap. Let somebody else have a turn.

That rhythm is part of the Steezy life too.

Because a dog that can comfortably do nothing becomes a lot easier to do everything with.
