Before Steezy Dog, there was just me and my dogs.

For more than 20 years, I trained my own dogs—and learned pretty quickly that if I wanted better dogs, I had to train myself too.

So I did.

I learned across different training methodologies: puppy foundations and Canine Good Citizen work, German Shepherd and Schutzhund training, and advanced off-leash training.

Then I took what I learned and practiced it in real life.

Every one of my Boxers eventually became comfortable revolving around my lifestyle.

Lounging at home for hours. Going to the beach. Camping. Hiking. Road trips. RV trips. Hotels. Walking through Home Depot. Visiting friends. Parks. Outdoor adventures. Or doing absolutely nothing because nothing was happening that day.

And when the environment allowed it, they could have an incredible amount of freedom.

From the parking lot to the beach, through parks and outdoor adventures, they moved with me. They checked in. They came immediately when called. They waited patiently when I asked them to wait.

I wasn't trying to create dogs that performed commands.

I was building enough communication that we could actually live this way together.

I DIDN’T BUILD MY LIFE AROUND TRAINING MY DOGS.

I LEARNED HOW TO TRAIN MY DOGS TO LIVE INSIDE MY LIFE.

Twenty years later, that way of living with dogs became Steezy Dog.
